Dragan Bagić graduated with an MA in Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia. In 2010, he graduated with a Ph.D. thesis entitled „Sustav industrijskih odnosa u Republici Hrvatskoj” at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
He is working as a full professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, where he teaches classes on Sociological Theory, Sociology of Migration, Applied Sociology, Political Sociology, and Industrial relations. His main fields of interest are political sociology, industrial relations, sociology of migration, and the methodology of social research. He is the author or co-author of four scientific monographs and over 30 scientific papers.
He is the national coordinator of the European Social Survey for Croatia (ESS-ERIC) and before he leaded several competitive development projects and scientific projects. He has rich experience in applied social research, education and consultancy. He is a member of the National Council for Higher Education, Science, and Technological Development. He has also held administrative roles, including Vice-Dean for Research and External Affairs, and is a recipient of the State Science Award.
