Nebojša Blanuša graduated Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1999. He received his MA in Political Science, University of Zagreb in 2004. In 2009 he graduated with Ph.D. thesis entitled “The role of Conspiracy theories in the construction of political reality in Croatia: Analysis of political discourse from 1980 to 2007.” at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb.

He is working as the full professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, where he teaches social and political psychology, cultural trauma, politics of memory, and conspiracy theories. His main fields of interest are psychoanalytic political theory, nationalism, populism, conspiracy theories, cultural trauma, and politics of memory in Southeast Europe. He is the author of “Teorije zavjera i hrvatska politička zbilja 1980 – 2007”. Zagreb: Plejada (2011), co-editor, with Zlatan Krajina, of “EU, Europe Unfinished Europe and the Balkans in a Time of Crisis.” London & New York: Rowman & Littlefield International (2016), and the author of many articles and book chapters. He is a member of International Society of Political Psychology, and Croatian Political Science Association. He was coordinating several international projects, e.g. SPECTRESS (Social PracticE Cultural Trauma and REestablishing Solid Sovereignties), REDACT (Researching Europe, Digitalization and Conspiracy Theories), COMPACT (Comparative Analysis of Conspiracy Theories), and ADMO (Adria Digital Media Observatory).
