Goran Koletić graduated in sociology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. In 2012, he received both the Dean’s Award for Excellence and the “Dinko Tomašić” Award for Best Student Paper. From 2015 to 2019, he was employed as a research assistant on the Croatian Science Foundation project “Prospective Biopsychosocial Study of the Effects of Sexually Explicit Material on Young People’s Sexual Socialization and Health (PROBIOPS)”. He earned his PhD in sociology in 2019. Since then, he has been employed at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. In the same year, he joined the editorial board of the Croatian Sociological Review and, as a member of the PROBIOPS research team, received the Annual Award of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for scientific achievements. From 2020 to 2024, he participated in the Croatian Science Foundation project “Dynamics of Reproductive and Sexual Health in Emerging Croatian Adults, 2005–2020”, and since 2024 has been involved in the project “Successful Sexual Aging – A Longitudinal Mixed-Method Dyadic Study”. In 2022, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology. He served as Head of the Research Ethics Committee of the Department of Sociology from 2021 to 2025, has served as Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Sociology since 2022, and has been Head of the Methodology Unit since 2025. In 2023, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Université catholique de Louvain as a researcher on the project “Testing the Impacts of Pornography Use on Relationship Quality”, funded by the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS). From 2023 to 2026, he was a research associate at the Psychological Sciences Research Institute (UCLouvain). Since 2016, he has participated in teaching three core sociology courses and two elective methodology/statistics courses at the Department of Sociology. He has (co)authored more than 30 scholarly and professional publications, contributed to 25 research projects, and presented his work at approximately 30 academic and professional conferences.
