Professor Marijeta Rajković Iveta graduated Ethnology and History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb (2003) and received her PhD in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology (2010). Since 2004, she has been employed at the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. In 2025, she was appointed full professor.

Her research and teaching interests focus on migration studies, especially contemporary migration and integration of immigrants, Croats living outside Croatia, minority communities, border studies and historical anthropology. As a researcher or principal investigator, she has participated in twenty-four national or international research projects. She has published two monographs, where Nogomet, migracije, integracija (Football, Migration and Integration), Zagreb: FF Press 2025 ( https://openbooks.ffzg.unizg.hr/index.php/FFpress/catalog/book/187) particularly stands out, and two co-authored books. She has co-edited eleven publications: six co-authored monographs, three collections of papers from scientific conferences, one of which is in English: Contemporary Migration Trends and Flows on the Territory of Southeast Europe, Zagreb: FF Press, 2018/2019. co-edited with Petra Kelemen & Drago Župarić-Iljić, and two authored monographs, one of which is a translation from German.

She has published eighty-seven scholarly and practice-based articles, independently or in co-authorship, in Croatian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Czech. In the field of migration, integration and minority studies, she trained at overseas universities and institutes in Argentina, Brazil, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Poland, and Slovenia, where she held classes or gave invited lectures. She has received six awards for her research and teaching, three of which are international.
