Snježana Koren is a historian at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She obtained her PhD in modern and contemporary history in 2011. She has been working at the Department of History since 2004, first as a lecturer and recently as an assistant professor. She is Head of Chair for History Didactics as well as Coordinator of the History Teacher Training Master’s Programme. At the Department of History, she teaches courses on history didactics, the history of socialist Yugoslavia and its successor states, the politics of history and memory, and Nazi Germany. Her primary research interests, in which she has published extensively, include the theory and practice of history education, the politics of the history of socialist Yugoslavia and its successor states, and the history of contemporary Croatian historiography and history teaching.
