Delia Georgeta Ćupurdija graduated in 2002 in Applied Modern Languages from the Faculty of Humanities, History and Journalism at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Department of French Language and Literature, where she obtained the academic degree of Licențiat în Filologie (Bachelor of Philology). From 2004 to 2006, she pursued further studies in Applied Modern Languages (English and German) at the UFR Lettres, Arts et Sciences Humaines in Nice, France. In 2007, she completed the two-year Régime Spécial program at the École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs (ESIT), Université Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle.

In 2002, she worked as an external associate at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. Between 2003 and 2006, she held the position of assistant manager and head of finance in several private companies in the tourism sector. From 2009 to 2013, she worked at the foreign language center Sputnik in Zagreb as a teacher of English and French and later as manager of the Croatian Language Academy. In October 2009, she joined the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb as an external associate. In 2019, she was appointed Lecturer at the Department of Romance Languages, Chair of Romanian Language and Literature, and since March 2025 she has held the position of Senior Lecturer.

She is the author of several scientific papers and has translated two books from Croatian into Romanian. She has participated in and presented papers at numerous international academic conferences. She is also a member of the editorial board of the bilingual magazine Verso Intercultural. She has advanced proficiency in Romanian, Croatian, French, and English, and is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and German. She also has a basic knowledge of Hebrew and Portuguese.
